mmmmmmmmmm CAKE :D

I made this a month or so ago, and i've just now had the chance to throw a few pictures of it up. It tasted absolutely wonderful! I orriginally made it for a House Warming Party for a friend of mine, however due to last minute information I took it to my grandfathers birthday party instead. I just left the chocoate "Happy House Warming" pieces out.

anyways, it was all hand made by me completely from scratch, i mixed up the cake batter from a recipe that I found (no boxed cake mix here) and then I made up the butter creme frosting all by myself, mixed in the food coloring to create the colors that I wanted, I did every detail, down to the last rose petal, green leaf, and blue frosted drop.

The Specs:
Cake: Red Velvet (which turned out to be the most brilliant deep red ever, absolutely beautiful)
Frosting: Buttercreme
Chocolate Pieces: dark chocolate, hand drizzled (by me) to spell out "Happy House Warming"
4 layers in all (1 6" on top, 2 9" in the middle, and 1 12" on bottom)
The whole thing took many many hours... about 10 to 12 hours i'd guess.
